Frequently asked questions

What is Nebula?

Nebula is a multiplayer space combat MMO: ship piloting, real-time combat arbitrated by the server, mining, a player-driven economy, and two rival factions, the Federation and the Pirates.

How can I play the alpha?

The alpha is currently invite-only. The launcher is free to download: you can install it and create an account with no restriction. It's downloading the game, once signed in, that requires alpha access enabled on your account. There is no code to enter: during the closed alpha, access is granted by hand, one account at a time.

Is the game paid?

The alpha is free for invited players. The final business model hasn't been settled yet and will be announced before the public release.

What's the difference between the Federation and the Pirates?

The Federation protects trade routes and established colonies. The Pirates control lawless zones and live off raiding. The choice is made at character creation and affects which missions are offered.

What platform does the game run on?

Nebula runs on Windows PC through a dedicated launcher, which handles installation and automatic game updates.

How do I report a bug or suggest an idea?

Use the feedback channels provided in the launcher and on our community networks. Every bug report helps stabilize the alpha.
